N. AUGUSTA, S.C. – If you have been searching around the internet this afternoon in hopes of finding out some news about 2012 three-star guard Myles Davis, you didn’t miss anything.  The Playaz Basketball Club (NJ) sharp shooter, who originally had planned on making his college announcement on the last day of the Nike Peach Jam Finals, is pushing that date back by a few weeks.

“I’m going to wait until August,” Davis said after a 79-73 quarterfinal loss to the Oakland Soldiers on Thursday night.

For now his list remains unchanged with Xavier, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia still in the mix for the Notre Dame Prep’s guard services.  After coming close to a decision, Davis insists that he really doesn’t have a favorite.

“I actually don’t have 100% sure where I want to go,” said Davis.

“I like every school in their own way.  West Virginia is new and all but to the other three schools, I really like them each the same .  It’s a difficult decision so I’m not 100% sure on where or what I want to do.”

If anything, the delay could only serve to help the Mountaineers chances since it’s

“I already took my visits to Georgetown, Pittsburgh, and Xavier,” Davis said.

“If I could I could take a visit to West Virginia that would be great but if not then I guess that I just have to keep going.”

At some point during the EYBL Finals each coach still in the running for Davis – Chris Mack, John Thompson III, Jaime Dixon, and Bob Huggins – was on hand to watch the guard play.  It’s something that wasn’t lost on Davis.

“I see all the coaches that come to my game and I watch that,” Davis said.

“I don’t like it affect me but it makes me want to impress them more.”

There has been some speculation around North Augusta this week that he could be interested in teaming up with his current AAU teammate, the much sought after five-star point-forward, Kyle Anderson in college.   If that’s the case he might end up waiting until September to make any kind of announcement.
