Number 90 – Marcus Denmon, SG, Sr., Missouri

Marcus Denmon is suiting up for USA Basketball this summer for the World University Games. It is the perfect place for a player like him to set up shop this summer.

You see, Denmon is searching for his identity again.

Denmon shined in Mike Anderson’s frantic up and down, constantly pressuring the ball style of play. Now that Anderson is gone, Denmon is left for his senior season with a new head coach in Frank Haith.

The transition for Haith and Denmon is as smooth as the senior wants to make it. Denmon is the leader of a very talented Mizzou squad. Haith’s style should mesh well with the 6-foot-3 guard from Kansas City.

Leadership for Denmon has been gained through the most difficult of situations. (Great read about his journey.)

You could argue that Denmon should be hire on this list given his proficiency. He’s a fine shooter, a good defender and doesn’t turn the ball over.

The Haith era should start well thanks in large part to Denmon.

2010-2011 STATS: 16.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.8 spg, 0.9 TO, 50% FG, 44.8% 3 pt
