Number 82 – Jabari Brown, SG, Fr., Oregon

Oregon relied on experienced guards last season for a post-season run through the College Basketball Invitational. One of the keys to the Ducks guards was their perimeter touch. The three ball has always been a foundation piece to Dana Altman’s offense. He was able to manage with serviceable perimeter scorers last season.

Now, most of the perimeter scoring is gone. Entering the picture is Brown, one of the top incoming freshmen in the country.

The high school recruiting pundits have raved about Brown’s shooting touch. He’s considered one of the very best of the incoming freshmen nationally. He’s a sharp-shooting threat and has already impressed those on the team with his ability in summer pick-up games.

Blessed with a college-ready body and a need for instant scoring, Brown should content for Freshman of the Year in the Pac-12 this year. He may be a bit of a surprise this high on the list but the pieces are there for a big first impression year.

2010-2011 STATS: N/A
