Number 77 – Darius Miller, SF, Sr., Kentucky

This top 100 list is packed with stars, instant impact players, all conference studs and emerging prospects. If you look closer to the players, you’ll see guys like Miller – the ultimate role player.

Miller is a dynamic defender, a capable scorer, a much improved perimeter scorer and the glue for one of the top teams in the country.

We’ve seen the important role of role players for Kentucky. See Miller last year. Look at Jorts. Or Liggins.

With the addition of stud freshman Michael Gilchrist, it will be interesting to see how Miller’s role changes, if at all.

But here’s the deal – the Wildcats need Miller to be as good, if not better, than he was last year in the tournament to win the National Championship. His value, even as a role player, is that high.

2010-2011 STATS: 10.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.1 bpg, 1.5 TO, 47.8% FG, 44.3% 3 pt
