Number 76 – Kevin Foster, SG, Jr., Santa Clara

We’ve seen the power of the three-pointer in college basketball. Post-season fates can change with a simple flick of the wrist. No one shoots more threes in America than Foster.

The redshirt junior from Texas is one of the top players in the always-strong West Coast Conference. Never afraid of playing in the spotlight, Foster has proved his worth against the top teams on the out of conference schedule for the Broncos.

Foster can score big points against quality opponents. He scored 26 points against Southern Cal, 25 against UC Santa Barbara, 29 against Washington State, 36 against Gonzaga and then 27 points in the next match-up and 29 against Portland.

Then again, Foster is also a bit of a shot-jacker. He led the nation in made three-pointers in a game as well as attempts at nearly 10 a game. Foster is his team’s best on the ball defender and led Santa Clara in assists, too.

He’s one of the premiere mid-major players in the country. That warrants a placement on the top 100 list.

2010-2011 STATS: 20.2 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 3.7 apg, 1.6 spg, 3.1 TO, 38.6% FG, 36.8% 3 pt
