Number 73 – Kevin Jones, PF, Sr., West Virginia

It seems like every year there is a West Virginia player that plays with total effort, is likable amongst the fans and college basketball community and raises the level of play amongst his teammates. Jones will be that guy this year for the Mountaineers.

After a somewhat disappointing junior year, particularly in Big East play, Jones will be looked to as a senior. Bob Huggins always leans hard on his upperclassmen and Jones has the same kind of character as former fan favorite Desean Butler.

Does that mean Jones will emerge as a national star? Maybe. Maybe not. West Virginia needs him to be a star. When WVU has post-season success, there is a star at the top. Jones has been the second option for two years. Now it is his turn.

2010-2011 STATS: 13.1 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.1 apg, 44.6% FG, 30.1% 3 pt
