Number 60 – Justin Greene, PF, Sr., Kent State

Do you know the name? Do you know he is the reigning MAC Player of the Year? Do you know he’s one of the top big men in the mid-major ranks? Do you know that he only started playing basketball when he was a freshman in high school?

You probably don’t know any of that.

No problem, really. Greene is the classic case of a late bloomer. Greene’s successes can be attributed to Kent State’s successes. When he scored over 20 points in games last year, the Golden Flash went 7-0.

The MAC may be the most competitive it has been in years this season. Greene is a good reason why.

We love to look for March Madness surprises early in the year. Add Kent State to the list and write Greene’s name next to it. We’ll be talking about him more when the brackets are filled out.

2010-2011 STATS: 15.4 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.4 bpg, 1.1 spg, 47.8% FG
