Number 51 – Malcolm Grant, PG, Sr., Miami

Grant is the ironman. He rarely stepped off the floor for the Canes last year for good reason. He’s one of the best players in the country that rarely gets talked about. How’s that for a reason?

Grant is the elder statesmen point guard in the ACC, a league that is known for top notch floor leaders. A fifth-year senior, the former Villanova guard has the chops to shine in any tough away arena. The Brooklyn native has seen it all already.

Don’t be surprised to see a dip in scoring from Grant, as the ‘Canes have more options around him to score this season. Look for his assists to rise and his defense to improve. Paired with Durand Scott, Miami has one of the best backcourts in the ACC this season.

2010-2011 STATS: 14.8 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 3.2 apg, 2.6 TO, 42.3 % 3PT
