Number 47 – Dee Bost, SG, Sr., Mississippi State

Riddle me this, college basketball world, is Bost the best player in the country that gets the least amount of national respect?

I’d argue that he is. Clearly, we love him here at the NHR.  The SEC loves him.  So why doesn’t the nation?

I get it that he takes some questionable shots and isn’t a great shooter to boot. Never really has been. But what he’s improved upon – defense, passing, leadership – Bost is one of the toughest players to guard in the country at his position. Certainly, he’s one of the best point guard in the SEC, if not the best overall.

Mississippi State will beat some good teams this year. I’m looking at you Kentucky, Florida an Vandy. And Bost will probably be one of the reasons why.

Maybe then we’ll be talking about just how good he is.

2010-2011 STATS: 15.3 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.2 apg, 1.6 spg, 3.5 TO, 38.9% FG, 33.6% 3PT
