With the NBA players arguing with the league and the league arguing with NBA players, we have a Jeff Van Gundy pause going on right now.

If you are a fan of quick wit, sometimes brash honesty and downright amazing off-the-cuff  humor, Van Gundy is your guy. He’s great on ESPN’s NBA announcing team.

Somebody get him out of the R.V., he’s coming back to the small screen thanks to a couple of smart people in Bristol. The former Houston and New York head coach will provide color to select games for ESPN. Continue reading

Coaches aren’t the only ones changing jobs these days. In a major move in the college basketball media landscape, CBS announced they have hired FoxSports.com’s Jeff Goodman.

No more “ooooooooohhhhhhh”. No more “ha HA!” No more glorious moments in March. No more story-telling the way stories should be told.

I feel like someone just stole a part of my life away from me.

Gus, good luck with your new adventures. You are legendary. – Justin Young

The deal, Scott says, is “to deliver an unprecedented level of innovative sports programming to large national audiences across the country.” Continue reading
