The race for No. 1 starts now

The opinions are mixed. Perhaps that is a good thing. Variety is a good thing in prep basketball.

However, having three players all fighting for the top spot in the class of 2012 makes it a challenge for those that make up rankings lists.

Connecticut big man Andre Drummond, Baylor bound 7-footer Isaiah Austin and Vegas wing Shabazz Muhammad are all in contention for the consensus top spot. All three share a common thread of being ranked number one overall by at least one ranking service. Continue reading

Now that June is here, the summer basketball schedule is now fully underway. If you are an engrossed fan of college hoops, you know that 50 percent of the game is successfully played over the next two months.
