Ed DeChillis is leaving Penn State to go to the Naval Academy.

How’s that for you come out of nowhere story of the day? After winning the N.I.T. in 2009 and earning a NCAA tournament trip this past season, the 52-year-old coach is leaving the program.

In the wake of his decision, one of the best transfers of the offseason is likely leaving before he ever enrolled in a class at the school.

According to Bill Staten, the father of incoming Dayton transfer Juwan Staten, Penn State will entertain calls from other schools for his son’s transfer. Continue reading
